Curves

If you have read the documentation to this point you probably know enough to make 95% of small business web pages using CirclePad.

The curve tools are more for experts who are interested in graphics, and they are powerful.

Moving Points
You can change the shape of graphics and photos in by clicking and dragging the small blue points on each object.

The example below clicks and drags the bottom right corner of the photo.

You can also move several points at the same time. The first step to move a group of points is to selected. This is a bit tricky but can do alot once you get used to it. When you object is selected, drag another rectangle from the outside in which will select points and turn them red. The example below shows exactly where to click and drag to select the bottom of the call support photograph.

You can see the selected points turn red. Note this won't work if:

The object is not selected.
You select another object that's not locked in the rectangle.

Now when you have a red selection of a group of points you can do many things with it:

Click and drag the points to move them all together.
Click on the new wand attached to those points to rotate and make bigger and smaller.
Hit the arrow keys to move them around.

In the example above the up arrow key was hit about 10 times to frame the bottom of the photo.

Adding Points

When you mouse passes over a curve or the frame of a photograph you might have noticed a small white circle appears. If you click and drag this circle it will create a new point and change the shape.

You can mix adding points with dragging existing point to cut out a photograph, in this example a dinner plate.

As you add points if you look closely some of the points are pointy and some are smoothed. Adding points is a bit like pulling puffs out of a cloud.

Once you are done you have it close you can do the same technique we used above to draw a second rectangle over the plate making all the red and selected. Because our plate is curved we want all the points to be curved.

When our points are selected two sliders come up, one for curved and another for pointy. Drag the Pointy slider down to nothing. Now our plate is curved and we can add a drop shadow to finish the job.
